What These Results Mean — and What They Don't

A DNA panel tells you what a cat inherited. It is not an ultrasound, and it is not an echocardiogram. A cat that is genetically Clear of the known PKD1 and HCM mutations can still, in principle, develop kidney or heart disease from a cause this test does not cover — that is true of every DNA-tested cat, at every cattery, anywhere.

We would rather tell you that plainly than let a “DNA tested” badge do work it hasn't earned. What we can tell you is exactly what we tested, when we tested it, and what it found. We are glad to send you the full report for any cat on this page — just ask.
