More Than a Kitten — Their Story From the Beginning

Bringing home a Kitten Around Ragdolls kitten means becoming part of their story from the very beginning. From birth until go-home, we photograph your kitten every week with a professional camera, not just cellphone snapshots. At about 10 weeks, every litter has a professional photo session, and those portraits become keepsakes of a stage that passes far too quickly.

We also invite families to complete a yearly health survey so we can track long-term outcomes and keep improving our program. It does not replace veterinary care.

Your Kitten's Journey

  1. Step 1: Born and lovingly raised

Raised in our home and photographed from their earliest weeks.

  2. Step 2: Watch them grow each week

A weekly email links to your kitten's private Google Drive folder of professional photos.

  3. Step 3: Bring home their memories

Download your kitten's baby photographs and the keepsake portraits taken at about 10 weeks.

  4. Step 4: Stay part of the KAR family

Lifetime breeder support, annual health follow-ups, and future access to the KAR family community.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do your Ragdoll kittens cost?

Every kitten is $4,500, regardless of color or pattern. Kittens are companion pets only, with no breeding rights, and every kitten goes home spayed or neutered.

How does reserving a kitten work?

Start with an application. If it is approved, a $1,000 deposit reserves your kitten and the $3,500 balance is due before your kitten goes home. The deposit applies toward the $4,500 total and is non-refundable; if you cancel, it may be applied toward a future kitten at our discretion.

What does the health guarantee cover?

Every kitten comes with a written two-year genetic health guarantee. If a board-certified veterinary specialist diagnoses HCM caused by the R820W mutation, or PKD caused by the PKD1 mutation, within two years, we offer a replacement kitten from a future litter. No cash refunds are provided, and the guarantee has conditions. Read the full terms in our sample contract. View the sample contract.

Where do I pick up my kitten?

Pickup is available near Sacramento/SMF, and flight-nanny transportation is available by request, including for families outside Northern California.

Will I see photos before my kitten comes home?

Yes. We photograph every kitten each week with a professional camera, and you receive a weekly email with a link to your private Google Drive folder where you can view and download them.

What support is available after go-home?

Lifetime breeder support means our relationship does not end when your kitten goes home. KAR families may contact us throughout their cat's life with questions about adjustment, care, behavior and health, and we will help whenever we reasonably can. Our guidance does not replace care from a licensed veterinarian.
